Heritages and Museums

Ethnographic Museum is based in Lobito, in the coastal province of Benguela, is a faithful image of the ethno cultural diversity of the Angolan people, as shown in its collection. According to Cipriano de Sousa, who is responsible for the institution, the museum of ethnography assures a deep knowledge of the habit and of the customs of the then inhabitants of the transversal areas of the rail and port project.

Church of Our Lady of Arrábida and of the Architecture Authority of Vasco Regaleira (Vasco de Morais Palmeiro, 1897-1968). Appealing visually, without its whole, to the theme of Traditional Portuguese Architecture, in the small scale variant of the “village church”, it exhibits a corresponding profusion of eaves, presenting a galilee with arches of perfect back arcs, surrounding a frontier and as a posterior, a main body of two waters and a bell tower, lateral, recuada, with end by a pyramidal roof corucéu.
